Two-year-old Jayda, diagnosed with the flu, faced a dire situation at a Florence, South Carolina CVS Pharmacy drive-thru. While her mother, Shanquella, collected medication for Jayda’s congestion, the toddler suddenly ceased breathing. Shanquella’s panicked cries alerted the pharmacy staff. Promptly responding, pharmacist Kathy Smith and the team sprang into action. With Jayda's condition deteriorating, Kathy administered chest compressions and rescue breathing. Miraculously, Jayda revived after a tense moment, bringing immense relief. Teen hero saves father's life during cardiac arrest while gaming

A South Carolina teenager has been hailed a hero for saving his father's life during a sudden cardiac arrest incident while they were playing video games together. Patrick Gallagher, 17, acted swiftly after noticing his dad, Pat, in distress, immediately dialing 911 and administering CPR until medical help arrived. Pat spent a week in ICU battling COVID-19, and doctors affirmed that Patrick's rapid response was instrumental in his survival. The family, facing financial strain due to medical costs, set up a GoFundMe, grateful for the outpouring support received from friends and well-wishers during this challenging time.

One-year-old toddler saved by local man

Ty Solomon was in the prime of his life. He was athletic, fit, and skilled enough at basketball to earn a spot on the South Carolina State Bulldogs. At 16 minutes and 2 seconds into a game against N.C. State, he was out of the game. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest moments later. S.C. State's athletic trainer performed CPR and Solomon was rescued.
