As our Mississippi ACLS, PALS and BLS certification customers understand, maintaining a healthy diet is one of the best ways to prevent heart attacks and cardiac arrests. As with daily exercise, changing your eating habits can be difficult.

Here are some ways that you can immediately improve your diet.

  • Eat unsalted nuts and seeds in small portions.
  • Have some eggs once a day.
  • Eat seafood twice per week.
  • Make sure that half of your intake of grains is whole grains.
  • Vary your fruit and vegetables. Picking different colors is an easy way to do this.
