Online exam

The exams are multiple choice and 100% online. You will have a maximum of three attempts to get an 80% or greater and pass the test. We will be informing you as to the questions you did not answer correctly.

Football player seriously injured

Jeremiah Williams, a junior defensive back in the Greenville High football team was seriously injured during a game with Madison Central High School. Coach Sherrod Gideon reported that Williams suffered fractured bones in his neck. Williams was given CPR before he was flown by helicopter to the Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's movie inspires kid to become a hero

The famous actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson keeps inspiring people in and out of the screen. He was touched after hearing the actions of Jacob O'connor, a 10-year-old boy who managed to save the life of his brother Dylan. After Jacob noticed his brother drowning at a nearby pool, he managed to pull him out and give him CPR assistance “I pulled him out and started giving him compressions,” said the heroic boy. All of this after watching the movie "San Andreas" where The Rock's on-screen character pulled his daughter out of a tsunami and gave her chest compressions. Dylan is now safe and sound thanks to Jacob's actions.

Calvin college staff helps save a life

Two staff members helped save a man’s life. Josh Kuperus, a first year student and a member of campus saftey patrol, came upon a man who was suffering from cardiac arrest and being helped by several bystanders. He quickly called to dispatch and grabbed his trusty AED. His supervisor Ron Venneman arrived just in time to help him. Kuperus proceeded to call for an ambulance while Venneman started CPR on the unconscious man. A shock was delivered, then another, suddenly the man regained a pulse and the paramedics arrived with the ambulance. The American Heart Association took notice of such deeds and gave the Heart Saver Award to both American Heroes.

Bishop's life saved by cpr

A Bishop was finishing his sermon at a Church in Detroit, Edgar Vann came face to face with Death itself. He recalls stepping down from his pulpit and having a sudden loss of consciousness, he fell to the floor "I turned to my wife and grabbed her and that’s the last thing I remember.” said the 60-year-old seasoned priest. A random member of the church quickly took action and gave him CPR while waiting for the EMTs to arrive. Bishop Edgar is now a champion of CPR training and is currently pushing for a legislation that requires CPR training in all schools in Michigan.

Swim instructor saves young swimmer’s life

A swim instructor was just exiting the community pool when they noticed a commotion. A boy was telling his aunt that his younger brother was at the bottom of the pool. The aunt frantically searched for the boy, and upon finding him, immediately scooped him out of the water. He was blue from head to the tips of his toes. The swim instructor rushed to their aid and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The boy coughed out the water and was able to breathe on his own again. Paramedics arrived a short while later and they were able to take the boy to the hospital.
