  • Do some sit-ups during the commercials of your favorite shows.
  • Get off the bus or metro one stop early and walk to your destination.
  • Go for a family walk after dinner.
  • Do yard work.
  • Wash your car at home.

Healthy Diet

The Wyoming rate of obesity is approximately 26%. Our Wyoming BLS, ACLs and PALS customers understand that obesity is linked to a variety of cardiovascular complications. The best way to reduce obesity is to clean up your diet.

Below are some helpful ways that you can improve your eating habits.

  • Serve smaller portions when serving dinner.
  • Drink 1% or skim milk instead of 2% or whole milk.
  • Avoid the sugar-heavy coffee specialty drinks. Learn to love a good cup of black coffee.
  • Lower your consumption of grains and increase your consumption of lean protein.
  • Eat a variety of vegetables and fruit. They all have different combinations of vitamins.
  • Avoid pre-packaged and processed food.
