Staying Healthy in Wisconsin

Healthy Diet

If you are one of our Wisconsin BLS, ACLS and PALS certification customers, you probably understand the critical need for healthy eating. The adult obesity rate in Wisconsin is about 27%. In order to combat this and reduce the percentage of obesity, here are some tips for healthy eating in Wisconsin

  • Use a smaller plate when serving dinner. You will eat less!
  • Drink 1% or skim milk instead of 2% or whole milk.
  • Avoid the sugar-heavy coffee specialty drinks. Learn to love a good cup of black coffee.
  • Lower your consumption of grains and increase your consumption of lean protein.
  • Eat a variety of vegetables and fruit. They all have different combinations of vitamins.
  • Avoid pre-packaged and processed food.
