About Oregon

Oregon is a northwestern state that sits on the western border with Washington to the north and California and Nevada to the south. It is also bordered by Idaho on the east with the Pacific coastline running across the western border. This state became a part of the union in 1859, during a very chaotic political time with the Civil War and fight over slavery raging across the country.

Thousands of travelers are attracted to this state every year, mostly attracted by the active deep sea fishing and wildlife communities and the historical relevance of the state.

Anthony Lakes is a lake in the high mountains that is the perfect destination for summer hikes, picnics, and even fishing. Visitors also enjoy Alsea Valley Country Trail which gives everyone the chance to get out and walk the beautiful countryside landscape of Oregon.

Some of the historical attractions of the area include several Native Indian areas where Indian tribes to this day continue to live according to their old traditions. Visitors enjoy exploring these reservation areas, participating in dance rituals and other amusements, learning about the different Indian cultures, and even purchasing handmade products designed by these Indian communities.

Today, Oregon is well known for tree logging as many of the trees cut down for commercial use come from this region.
