About New Hampshire
The capital city of New Hampshire is Concord, and that may be about all most people know about this rural state located just underneath Maine at the northeastern most tip of the United States. It is sandwiched between Maine and Vermont with Canada to the north and Massachusetts to the south. This state joined the union in 1788 and remains rather rural with low population rates to this day.
For many travelers, the fact that New Hampshire is not one of the premier travel destinations for people around the world makes it an ideal place for leisurely vacations. This is especially true for families of neighboring states who want to go somewhere different that is still very safe and rural.
For most visitors, fall is the perfect time to visit this state, while the trees in the mountain ranges are changing colors. Just as summertime is great for hitting the beaches on the southern and western coasts, fall is made for New Hampshire. From local farmers markets and the opportunity to pick fresh produce to exploring the mountains as the trees are vibrant in a wide array of changing colors, leisure and relaxation is found here.
The White Mountains are the heart of tourism in the state, offering entertainment, activity, and attractions year round. Travelers who enjoy being outdoors and watching nature in a relaxed, natural environment often find the mountainous regions of this state quite charming.
