About Nevada

Located right next to California on the western U.S. coast, Nevada is well known for its vast deserts and intense year round heat. The scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains run along the western part of the start, delivering a lot of variance in the actual weather patterns of the state. In the summer months most parts of the state can get extremely hot, but there are colder seasons which offer some relief.

Most tourists who visit Nevada go in the springtime around May or June because the weather is hot but not yet unbearable, even in the warmer southern regions of the state.

Besides wandering through large stretches of desert lands and exploring the beautiful mountain ranges, there are some more quirky attractions that draw thousands of curious people each year. The biggest one is Area 51, which has drawn a lot of attention as a potential military site where aliens or creatures from other planets have allegedly landed and been confiscated and covered up by the U.S. government. Not everyone believes this, but the area draws a lot of tourists who want to check out the claims.

While Carson City is the capital of Nevada, the most popular city for visitors is Las Vegas. This is the big city famous for extreme night life, big luxury hotels lined up with 24 hour casinos and delicious buffet bars. The area is known for gambling and other types of exciting nightlife attractions, as well as quirky wedding chapels and legal brothels.

This is where many Americans head for adult vacations or long weekends away from home. It is also a popular place for fast weddings and international visitors who want to see what it is all about.
