Kansas city police officers save infant's life amid rsv emergency

Two Kansas City police officers are gaining national recognition for their heroic actions in saving a one-month-old baby's life when she ceased breathing due to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). After Tajanea Allen's baby, Kamiyah, stopped breathing, Officers Richard DuChaine and Charles Owen quickly performed life-saving CPR. Video footage from a body camera captured the tense moment as the officers resuscitated the tiny, unresponsive newborn. Kamiyah eventually regained consciousness after staying in the hospital for a week due to RSV, which can be particularly severe in infants. DuChaine, who has a premature daughter, could relate to the family's ordeal and was commended by Allen as her hero.

High school teen saved dad with CPR learned in school

When Seth Johnson's classmates in Olathe East High School had to undergo CPR training, he couldn't fully participate in the sessions because he was wearing a sling due to a lacrosse injury. After two weeks, his dad experienced heart attack and he was successful in helping his sister perform CPR on their dad.
