About Indiana

Indiana is in the north-central region of the U.S. and is bordered by Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. The northwestern corner of the state touches Lake Michigan and the southern portion of the state is occupied by the Ohio River. In 1816, Indiana became the 19th state to ratify the U.S. constitution.

There is a unique museum in Shipshewana that is located in a barn built by the Amish and Nappanee allows tourists to walk through a recreated Amish village.

For those who want more outdoor adventure akin to traditional vacation spots, Indian offers canoe trips down the river that are suitable for families, beginners, or the most experienced of canoe enthusiasts. Indiana is also home to some amazing caves, which visitors can take tours of in cities like Marengo.

There are also some great places to dine and gamble, including Overlook Restaurant which overlooks the beautiful Ohio River in the city of Leavenworth, and Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in the city of Elizabeth.
