Question: How can I contact a staff member if I have a question?

Answer: Please see our Contact Us page for contact information. Staff members are available to answer questions and handle issues Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm PST.

Question: Can I take the course if my certification has expired?

Answer: Yes, our ACLS course can be used for both certification or recertification. This means you can take the course if you've never been certified in ACLS before (certification), or you can take it if you've been certified before and your initial certification is about to expire or has already expired (recertification).

Question: Will I need to take a skills test before I receive my card?

Answer: No. Our course does not require a skills test.

Question: Will I receive an American Heart Association ACLS card?

Answer: No. After you pass the online exam, you will receive an ACLS card from Rush ACLS. The American Heart Association is not affiliated with any online-only ACLS certification or recertification course.

Question: What is included with the online ACLS course?

Answer: The course includes all of the following:

• Online, multiple-choice exam with no confusing passwords or access codes.
• Printable PDF version of the exam for studying away from the computer
• Three free retakes in case you don't pass the first time (or second).
• Free ACLS card mailed to you once you successfully pass the exam.

In addition, two rush delivery options are available: Next Day Shipping and Same Day Email. If you select Next Day Shipping with your purchase, then you will receive your regular card within 1 business day of passing the exam. If you select Same Day Email with your purchase, then you'll receive an email card within 1 business day of passing the exam.

Question: How long is the certification period good for?

Answer: The certification period lasts for 2 years, at which point you'll need to successfully pass the ACLS exam again.

Question: When will I receive my card?

Answer: Our course includes free shipping by regular US Postal Services mail. This means cards generally arrive within 3 -5 business days after passing the online exam. We also offer two faster delivery options: Next Day Shipping and Same Day Email.

Question: How does the online exam work?

Answer:

• Once you purchase the course, you'll receive the URL for the online exam. The exam is made up of 50 questions which cover ACLS case studies and rhythms. If you'd like to study for the exam away from your computer, a PDF version of the exam is available.
• Once you submit your answers, we will grade them within 1 business day (generally exams are graded within several hours during regular business hours).
• If you pass the exam, we will then mail your card and send your email card if you purchased one.
• If you fail the exam, we'll send you information about the missed questions and you can then retake it (3 retakes are included with the course).

Question: What is your refund policy?

Answer: Please contact us via our Contact Us page if you would like a refund for our course. If you purchased an AHA ACLS Provider Manual, you'll need to return it to us in as-new condition in order to receive a refund for it.
