Rush ACLS Courses for Alaska Professionals

Staying Healthy in Alaska

The team at Rush EMS developed this page to help the residents of Alaska maintain a healthy heart. We understand that the best way to combat heart attacks and cardiac arrests is to prevent them from ever happening in the first place. Our desire is that the Alaska PALS, BLS and ACLS professionals who use our service would be able to use this page as a health resource.

Active Living

There is ample opportunity in Alaska for an active lifestyle. One of the top methods to prevent heart disease, heart attack, obesity, diabetes and other cardiovascular related issues is to

Play Every Day

According to the Alaska Department of Health, 3 out of every 10 children in Alaska are obese. Typically, obese children grow up to be obese adults. As an Alaska BLS, PALS or ACLS medical professional, you know first-hand the effect that obesity has on the heart.

Play Every Day is a great program promoted by the Alaska state government that encourages both families and children to get out and get active. They give suggestions for indoor activities, cold weather activities and warm weather activities. http://hss.state.ak.us/dph/playeveryday/
